Lot 5124: CD 143 G.N.W. [020] Color: Light Green Description: An early Canadian telegraph style with a “G.N.W.” marking on the front. Note the letters on this example are tiny – measuring only 5mm tall. This example has a vivid light yellowish green colour, and the wire groove has slumped somewhat during manufacture. Some milk and steam swirls around the pinhole offer extra character. Excellent condition for this damage-prone style with only a few tiny nibbles around the sharp outer base edge, and a few tiny fleabites on the sides of the crown.
